Couvee Solo
My first time trying "Tuku"-like coffee from Jogja. This one Solo branch.
a Tuku in Solo
I've long heard that Couvee's coffee is good and tastes similar to Tuku Coffee, which is unavailable in Central Java (yet), and now I got the chance to taste it. I tried the Everyday Latte with less sugar, which is still too sweet for me, but now I understand why people said it tastes like Tuku (tastes a bit like the seperdua coffee creamy latte too)
This cafe is always crowded, I'm not sure why. My friend told me it's because of their hospitality, which… although it's true that their hospitality is very good, but doesn't enough to make me feel I want to return. They have a lot of seats, which I think are still lacking compared to the visitors there. One thing that really caught my attention is the bike parking pole. Like, whoa, wait… seriously? I think their target market is for casual coffee enjoyers who don't spend too much time when dining-in.
Internet connection in this cafe is really bad, even if you buy the wifi.id internet pass (IDR 5K for 12 hours) (wifi service from Indonesia's biggest telco) only gives you around 5 Mbps. And… what about their wifi? Nope, my laptop couldn't connect to the wifi. I think because of too much people are using it. So, be prepared to use your own mobile data when visiting this cafe for working.
The prayer room is too small. For a cafe that's very crowded, it's wayyyy too small. It only fits for one person, so you need to queue when the prayer time comes.
Overall, this cafe would be ideal if only the wifi speed were good and usable, and a little bit less crowded.
